Don't let them restrict the freedom of information act
Watch the little children play
...Or maybe we could just teach them better
...ID checks online...
would you date online? i wouldn't, and i don't think i know many people who would... but if you were gonna, you wouldn't meet up with people until you were damn certain they were who they said they were, right? you'd talk to them for a while, keep an eye out for any inconsistencies in their stories, not give away personal details particularly if they seemed like they wanted them a bit too fast...
would you ask them to do a security check before you met up?
i might, i suppose. in this fantasy land where i don't stick to people i've actually physically met, i might want to know that i would be meeting who i thought i would.
would you expect them to have done one already, and posted the proof for you?
No.
I don't quite know why... but... it's something to do with not having to...
internet relationships are casual to begin with... there's something offputting about the idea having a formal ID waved in your face, just so you know you're not talking to a right weirdo... i'd rather get to know how that conversation goes, then i can avoid it next time...
and what about the smart crazies?
Did you kow you can write to Lords now using WriteToThem.com? It'll even search through them for you, based on date of birth, places or topics they're associated with. Or you can write to a random Lord. Sounds grand doesn't it?
xx
