sevenhelz at 04:06pm on 03/12/2006i don't think practise mutes make you use more air. if anything i find it easier to play with one. i come back to real practise and my sound can be different. saying that my sound's pretty strong at the moment so i'm not too worried
it was interesting hearing gemma play "flower song" in performance lecture - i did it as a grade 7 piece but apparently it's been put on the grade 8 syllabus since then. i do remember it being bloody difficult, and i thnk i'd still find it hard 'cause it's soft n high. gemma's prolly got better technique than i had but she needs to work on her breathing. she'll be reet.
