Well, yeah. It's hardly news....it's *always* been a problem, right through life. Orwell's 'The Lion and the Unicorn' which, by the way, is a cracking read, makes some interesting points about this precise phenomenon (albeit in adults as opposed to children, but the point is the same.)
Yeah, I know, everyone who lives through it knows, but it's interesting that someone's making a point of telling the parents to do something about it. I'll look up the Orwell. I'm in the library right now in fact, debating going hunting for fantasy. Don't know if they do that thar fiction stuff here. xx
Unfortunately they don't have it either way :( though I have just taken out three books I like the look of: The History of Sexuality (volume one) Women's Work, Men's Work Because of her sex; the myth of equality for women in Britain
