I am awake, possibly due to not being asleep. I make lots of sense at this time of morning.
Umm. Did I tell you all that I repotted lots of plants the other day? They're all much happier now :) I have a pepper plant about three quarters my height, in a bucket. Well technically a Jalapeno. Today I cleaned lots of the kitchen, including mopping and sweeping various bit of floor, and resealing about half of the sealanty bits. Still haven't done the yucky bit behind the sink though. But! I have borrowed a cylinder gun from my mother so it doesn't hurt my thumbs, I will be able to use more than four inches of the tube, and it takes about twenty seconds to seal a metre of gap. Woot. I'd like to take this opportunity to point out that I love my boyfriend very much, and it's not just him that will be upset when i leave for Uni.Because obviously, it being my own journal, I will never have another such opprtunity. D'oh.
Bleah. The valve guides on my euph have come loose - 1st 2nd and 3rd, although 4th seems to be holding out so far. Probably about usage. I rang the Music Cellar and left them a rather garbled message and they rang back this morning to say bring it in when one of our brass/windy people is around and we'll fix it for you, and they only giggled slightly at the complete lack of sense I made. Woot! Musicians rock.
I'm debating not having a car next year. It's a good financial decision, and if I get the accommodation I want I'll be roughly, oh, thirty seconds away from the Uni. It does have some drawbacks though, in a short-term kinda way - my insurance is up for renewal on the 16th of August, and if I choose not to have it next year I could save some money by, well, not reneweing... but it would mean coming back from my sister's a little earlier than had previously been necessary, and it would mean not having the car for Edinburgh. I haven't discussed this with Phil yet, but the plan was for both of us to be insured for my car for a couple of weeks, then we could share the driving and stuffs. I'd still like to share the driving but now it will depend on his car and his insurance. Bleah. His doesn't have power steering, but then mine doesn't have a heater.
I need to sing more. And find a place to do Tai Chi!
By the way, I started doing the sealant in the kitchen because I'd already been cleaning the kitchen, and I was already cleaning the kitchen because at this time of the month I really hate all the smells. Last month I did the bathroom, and it's been much more cheerful since.
Nathan still needs a kid's bed. Steve still needs a new mattress, though I doubt he'd agree if I didn't keep nagging him. When our claim money comes through, I will probably get a laptop and a mobile phone (ooh, shiny technology!!) but I plan never to ring out from it, 'cause I'm a cheap bastard. Next week Lidl is selling various odds and ends I want for uni (including a clothes horse type thingy) and I won't be around. Damn. I'm also tempted by the orchids, though I can't see them being quite so useful...
I just looked up some directions to Preston, and it turns out it's much easier from Andrea's than Steve's :) plus this way I get a navigator. Woot!

Hello Again
First of all thanks for the call the other day, was nice to hear from you and have a proper conversation :)
Secondly, hope you have a good day in preston, is a good place so spend the day and have a look in the oxfam vintage shop if you're walking past. Have a friend who works there who tells me they stock some nice things.
And finally, came across an article that i thought you might enjoy, shows a company pretty much sticking the middle finger up at oil companies by creating a fully electrical sports car that rivials (and indeed betters) most fuel sports cars.

Just thought i'd drop it by.
If i dont see you before you vanish to uni, have a good time, sure you'll enjoy it.
