I just threw up again, possibly because of the frosted wheats I had earlier. If it was these it's interesting to note it's taken longer than any of my recent reactions but been more violent. Also I didn't actually throw up the wheat, but the cherry tomatoes I had afterwards. I spent about half an hour, maybe an hour, lying on the sofa pretending not to sleep before that, and I think if I hadn't been so restless and easily disturbed my stomach may well have sorted itself out while I slept. It does that sometimes. It's ace.
But anyway. It occurred to me that lately I've noticed little things that always happen when I throw up, that really really annoy me, but that I wouldn't have noticed if it didn't happen so damn often. For instance I've started labelling the textures, and I think my mum understands when I try to describe them. "Kind of chunky" is your average not-well puke, but with my brand of gluten-intolerance I tend to get liquidy stuff, which is unpleasant because it feels like your entire body is trying to turn itself inside out as it strains to get out something with no substance. Grr. I've had the odd experience of huge lumps of dry meat coming back up as well, which, at the opposite end of the scale, is equally unpleasant. It's just as violent and the food can feel so big as it comes up it actually hurts your throat. On the other hand, not much of it sticks in your nose. The most unpleasant part though, when I'm actually throwing up, the most unpleasant part is knowing that it's over, spitting out some of the goo, and realising your spit is dangling down and actually touching the water in the toilet and you can't get it off your lip.
The second most unpleasant part is when half your brain is actually going, <sulky> huh, this isn't where I normally throw up. Where's the loo roll?
I've obviously been throwing up more recently, or it might not be so much on my mind. The thing is, I'm sure the experience is getting harder. I'm a dab hand at holding my own hair back, but it keeps feeling more and more difficult for my insides to purge themselves and a lot of the time it hurts like hell. Given that I used to have a stomach of steel (and when I did throw up it was easily done, easily cleaned up and then I felt fine) it's a touch annoying. it's like the length of time in which I feel moderately to extremely shit has expanded, and soon I could be spending whole days holding back the nausea before finally having something to throw up... actually that sounds familiar... I think last time I was like this, I came off wheat for a year and a half :(
Cut because it's really unpleasant. I suggest you only read it if you've recently thrown up anyway (as in, last half hour). But anyway.
