Well, of course it is. How else can they afford to sell pairs of pants for a pound a time, and shirts for £5? It's a place I go to out of necessity rather than choice, as I'm too skint to go anywhere else.
OTOH, they do have a certain honesty to them; if you read the article Marks and Spencer is only slightly better than the Big P - and Primark at least don't gouge their consumers with such ridiculous profit margins as Marks do.
I'd love to do things like buy organic cotton, but I just don't have the money at all.
