No army for me. It's not even the distance vision, it's the astigmatism. My eyeballs are the wrong shape, and what I was told over the phone is that if I get knocked about the head I could lose my vision. I'm not too worried about that, but it's a good reason for the army not to want me, I suppose.

For someone who doesn't smoke, I now smoke quite a lot. On the plus side, I have not yet been paralytically drunk, though of course there's still time.
