update on the car situation in an attempt to be mildly humorous.
years ago when this happened, and the car decided it wouldn't go, it also started the alarm and was all loud and stuff. at the time dad's wonderful solution was to rip out the horn, though he was nervy about removing the security system in case it was linked to Other Stuff. so, since we tried to make the car go, it had been trying to alarm for about three days and had completely flattened its battery. so, dad fixed this with one o them Big Rechargey Things (you can tell i'm good at technical terms), then went to do something about the root of the problem. turns out this is under the drivers seat...
he happily took that up, and when i came back he had pulled out a lil circuitboard apparently without cutting any wires, which is probably good. we tried the ignition and the car turned on! wahh! i have a working car!!!
...without a driving seat...
at some point during this dad also remembered that, had the car still had any battery, we could have fixed it by turning the key in a little doodad sat in the engine. d'oh!
then i went to a band do, where we discussed this and hypothesised that i really could use the extra space, to give other bandies lifts - i can sit on my euphonium!!
or not.
oh, and in other news, i like Wagner. shock, horror.
not in the mood for revision today, but i'm listening to some Romantic Period stuff for the sake of appearances.
