thankyou for the nice comments :)
so the bittersweet playlist is pretty much complete. i only have a rubbishy version of Bed of Roses, with a bit of the song before on it and the end a little clipped, and I'm not sure if the order is quite right, but here we go:
Song 1: Mad World - from the Donnie Darko single, and I'm not sure who sings it since I'm sure it's not the original?
Duppi bought me the CD, so it reminds me of him... I loved the film... and it's just a sad (but good) tune.
Best line: I find it kind of funny, I find it kind of sad
Song 2: Acoustic #3 by Goo Goo Dolls
I started listening to this a lot in the last few months with Jon.
Best line: What's the point in ever trying? Nothing's changing anyway
Song 3: Two Beds and a Coffee Machine by Savage Garden
Need I explain why this is sad? Jon introduced me to it, again in the last few months together.
Best line: Wonder how they'll ever make it through this living nightmare, but the mind is an amazing thing
Most Relevant Line? And the years go by so fast
(at the time that I listened to it a lot it was the line that always stuck in my head. I was thinking about doing a most relevant for all of them, so the best line could be the cleverest, but this is already a long and pointless post)
Song 4: Show Must Go On by Queen
One of their last, and best. It's good for times when my music is going nowhere, or my Theatre Studies practical is looming :P
Best line: My make-up may be flaking but my smile still stays on
Song 5: One Last Breath by Creed
Recently discovered how much I like Creed, and Gareth kindly provided me with two full albums :) yey.
Best line: I'm six feet from the edge and I'm thinking, maybe six feet ain't so far down
Song 6: No Regrets by Robbie Williams
The title is a catchy phrase, that seems to turn up a lot. I guess it's kind of power-ballad-y in construction, but that doesn't mean I can't like it :D
Best line: I didn't lose my mind, it was mine to give away
Song 7: (I'm no) Superman - the Scrubs themetune, possibly by Lazlo Bane?
Jon loved this one. He watched/s far more TV than me... but the song's grown on me, so. It's a bit different from the others in that it makes me more happy, with a hint of sadness, but still bittersweet.
Best line: You've crossed the finish line; won the race but lost your mind - was it worth it after all?
Song 8: Hello by Evanescence
Well, it was bound to happen really - can't leave out the whiniest band I know.
Best line: Don't try to fix me, I'm not broken
Song 9: Black Balloon by Goo Goo Dolls
As you may have guessed, I like this band.
Best line: I almost fell into that hole in your life
Song 10: Bed of Roses by Bon Jovi
I didn't know the song till Adam gave me a copy. The beginning of the end I think.
Best line: While we're talking about all of the things that I long to believe
Song 11: My Immortal by Evanescence
Despite a certain someone at college singing this painfully badly, it actually has some memories that don't involve people being out of tune. It's the sound, more than the words which make it good.
No best line, really.
Song 12: Iris by Goo Goo Dolls
Apparently this comes from a bit of a soppy film. It used to remind me more of Ginger Baz than of Jon, but now it just reminds me of the hundreds of othe rtimes I've heard it.
Best line(s): And you can't fight the tears that ain't coming, or the moment of truth in your lies
Song 13: Don't Wanna Miss a Thing by Aerosmith
Woo, some real cheese here. Lisa always claimed the nu-punk version destroyed this, but I found it amusing.
Again, no real best line.
Song 14: Who Wants to Live Forever by Queen
I'm told this is the theme to Highlander the movie, or something. seems just as relevant to real life, and some fine singing from Freddie.
Best line: There's no chance for us, it's all decided for us
Ahh the joy of bittersweetness.

oh Film soundtracks! my favourites.
Iris by the Goo Goo Dolls is from City of Angels with Meg Ryan and Nicolas Cage.
I dont' wanna miss a thing is from Armageddon. This one is for my Dad. One of those songs we used to warbble to.
Mad World is really sad it is the single I bought when my Granmdad was dying. It is is very atmospheric.
Yep good playlist. Suggest Coldplay Clocks, Best line: Come back and Haunt me.
