So, judging by the reaction of this man, it is now apparently rude for a student to go to their tutor's office, knock and, when requested, enter, apologise for interrupting and begin to ask a question.
He didn't like what I was asking. That doesn't make my actions rude. His reaction was hella ruder than mine.

I just apologised again and said I'd leave them to it, to which he replied he should think so too.
He really is an arse. He's been bullying a friend of mine, giving her shitty marks because he doesn't like her for some unknown reason, saying her information is plain wrong when she fact-checked with Lisa Colton - the medievalist (as you know) - on medieval music! Thing is, I don't think my friend has appealed about the marks. She's a bit timid. It was on a seminar paper too, which could make it difficult to re-assess... but even so.

I can't believe he did that though... undermining someone like that. Research is about researching things, so you can't just go and say it's wrong unless you've read EVERY book etc there ever is! Has your friend spoken to anyone, other than you, about this?

(there again, proof that I may overestimate her intelligence/organisation lies in the amount of money she owes to banks)
