I'm not sure how many days it's taken me overall since it's been split by the weekend away, but I've been working pretty solidly for a while on my case study for one module. Because there's nothing written directly on my topic, it's all primary research, and I'm pleasantly surprised by how easy it's been to a) create a table of people I should contact complete with links to biographies and contact details; b) send enquiries to all those contacts, some directly to the people I need info from, some to prominent members of their bands in order to obtain direct contact details; c) send sets of questions tailored to each individual to about a dozen people; and d) receive several very useful replies to the actual research questions, and a good few contact details and promises to forward my message.
Tonight I feel, bar collating the data I already have, I've done what I can for the moment. I'm relieved and relaxed.
Never mind the other pieces of work I need to do. They can wait. Placement search starts tomorrow, during the time I would normally be at my current placement, which is cancelled for two weeks. So does research into spectral music, which I aim to write an essay on for a month's time.
My brain's in motion and it feels good.
