If you borrow something from someone, for however short a period, you are inconveniencing them. You should probably be polite about it.
If you're borrowing a laptop needed for work, using all the bandwidth the flat has, and installing programs on someone else's laptop (which you already complain about for being slow) you should probably be polite about it. Maybe even ask first. And maybe recognise that you are inconveniencing them. And maybe try to offset that by actually passing them something when they ask for it, rather than nudging it in their direction.
Really, just me?

Unless you have asked someone to install certain programs, one should always ask before installing things.
