Yesterday I made biscuits. This was an interesting challenge since I'm currently not allowed sugar or refined carbohydrates (white flour), and we do not recognise the existence of such a thing as butter in this house. So, whole-wheat fructose olive-oil-spread biscuits they were, with a dash of lemon. By the evening they had gained a sort of lemony goo we called icing and I definitely exceeded my unofficial sugar quota for the day. But still,

here's the recipe:

4oz margarine
just over 2oz fructose powder
dash of lemon juice
one egg
somewhere under 6oz brown flour
an oven set to somewhere about 150 degrees

chuck stuff together in roughly that order, stirring as you go, and there you are.
Next time I intend to invole raisins.

Today I decided that I like oranges, and I like muesli; they should clearly be together. I was sadly mistaken. Ah well, can't win 'em all.

I have indeed :) they were very tasty, although only subtly sweet.

Interesting. As my friend may be in the process of discovering she cannot have white flour or sugar, I may have to try this.

Bearing in mind that I ate far too much fructose for the good of my health yesterday, I still highly recommend it :)
