1. My facebook account was hacked. Oh noes.
2. My euphonium is damaged, because the hard case it came in isn't hugely protective.
3. Soap doesn't go down very quickly when only one person uses it. This could be why it's considered cheap.

For 2, the obvious solution would be to pad the inside of the case. It's armour - you need a hard outer to protect the object from external hits, and then you need padding to protect the object from the hard outer. There must be a market stall or fabric shop that will sell you wool or wool mix for £5 a metre or so, and you'll probably only need one and a half metres.
Alternatively, if the size difference between case and instrument is really big, find a shop seeling furnishing stuff. In Sheffield you could get enough inch-thick foam for a euph case for less than a tenner. It'll be more difficult to stick down than fabric though.

I appreciate the advice, but it's not padding that's the issue - the padding in the case fits the euph beautifully. It's the hard outer that's already getting damaged. The hinges are also getting a bit fucked already, which is ridiculous for a case that's only about two months old.
Did you ever see the hard case for my last euph? This is like that, fitted better, but with shitty weak plastic used for the outside and coated with fabric. I might even be better off with a decent gig bag - at least it's obvious you have to be careful with those, and they're lighter than this!
