i have £150 in my current account. -£20 in my other bank account. £22.30 in my paypal account. a friend owes me £20. my loan has come in, my rent for the term has come out; i have nine weeks left. that's two, possibly three phone payments at £20ish... i have roughly £90 to last roughly 9 weeks. so. food will have to be a tenner a week... no more butter, cream, eggs (since i only waste them), booze, orange juice, sweet potatoes, no more herbs (i have lots but keep tipping over the rosemary); no travelling unless i can find some funds. bah. i'm debating offering my transcription services on the all-students weekly email, but i doubt anyone who would use it would read it...
ah, one ray of light - the quintet job we're doing in a couple of weeks will pay £40 afaik. also, at the end of the tax year i should get a cheque for £35. when you consider that i owe mum £130, though...
where the heck did it go? i knew i was overspending at the end of last term, but i can't believe it was that much. jeez. maybe i should return my shoes... or not, heh. you know i never could.
this is probably not a good time to mention that i've been emptying the freezer. i have four scotch pancakes; one portion of probably lamb; one of beans; three, maybe four of different stews; one of mini sausage rolls; some ice cubes; and enough steak and kidney for quite a nice stew, which should serve three or four. if i started charging, say, £1 a meal, i'd then have enough for a couple more meals myself...
ah, i also have eggs in the fridge. must eat eggs.
um, so, okay. filtered water will be fine to drink, which should cut down on milk and juice;
cheese: £2 a week (four or five meals)
potatoes: £1 a week
onions: £1 every three weeks
carrots: 50p a week
yoghurt: 50p a week
pasta: £1.50 a week (three or four meals)
cereal: £1.40 every two weeks
milk: hella lots... £1.07 every three days or so...
meat: whatever's left, plus free chicken bones from the nice man... so that's about a quid a week then, good job i've got a freezer really... guess it's back to shitty cheap meat for me
feeding phil: reduce to zero
feeding gavin: ditto
i have large stocks of rice/corn cakes, soup, oats and tinned tomatoes, as well as a reasonable amount of gluten free plain flour, cornflour, sugar, raisins and random flavouring things. i also have jam. anyone who can turn these things into a meal is welcome to my house, anytime. i have a sleeping bag. and a crate of wine. and lots of books.
xx
