Well, hello from sunny Huddersfield. It really is, sometimes.

I've really enjoyed this past week, as I've spent most of it singing and playing euphonium. It's good. I've met loads of people and I can remember roughly 30% of their names. Usually the last three letters or so.

Um. There's a Sainsbury's right across the road which I'm trying not to live out of, but it's not noticeably dearer than going to the market or the fruit and veg shops.

I've already been to a Tchaikovsy concert, which, courtesy of my HUMSS card, I got into for £2. Rock on. Ice cream would've doubled the price of the night...

So foodwise I figure I can live on just under £20 a week, which leaves me a fair bit for concerts/feeding Marie/treats/saving. Woot.

I miss Stevie. I still talk to him all the time actually, at least as much as I speak to Mum. And Phil's planning on going back next weekend for his birthday (and taking me and Louise with him) so I will visit people then. Also need to pick up various things including, hopefully, new bank card and pin. I love smile. They have my money.

Yeah, that's about it. Haven't met my euph tutor yet, other than two Whit Fridays ago, when I went all fangirly on him. Looking forward to band. Bit annoyed that wind band clashes with a cappella singing - I can't get away with missing the first, and anyway would I want to when it's Phil McCann conducting? I've discovered self defence classes and Tai Chi, though I need to go get more details on that one. It seems I'll have the option of being in four choirs, one brass band and one wind band, or three choirs, two brass bands and one wind band, assuming I find an adult band that wants me and rehearses Monday/Thursday. Should be fun, especially arranging all the Christmas concerts.
