how do i explain to someone that the fact that they "thought about me" before choosing to have all our friends gather for a pub lunch is not comforting when i still have no idea whether i can eat there, and knowing that there is almost certainly a choice of chips or no chips for lunch is not made any better by the idea that i can eat first?
how do i explain that actually its not fun sitting there watching other people eat?
and that actually, im quite annoyed that they "thought about me" but didnt even bother to check if there was an online menu, and didnt ask me whether i knew what the menu was like, before deciding to go there
...without being incredibly insulting?
i mean, am i just being incredibly self centred here? i dont want to spoil someones day out, but neither is the idea of having to eat lunch before going out for lunch appealing to me
and considering the fact that for six months now ive had to eat before going out for a meal, youd think id be used to it, but actually its even more offensive now for one of my oldest friends to just assume thats what ill do, than it would have been six months ago.
so... i don't know if i'm right to be as upset as i am. duppi sees my point, but jemma doesn't, and neither does andrea. i suppose the fact that they decided against pizza hut (yum, salad and ice cream for me...) is a good thing, but still... the fact that i wasn't even included in the discussion about where to go is sad.
My Favourite Lines Of The Evening:
1 "jst as long as we dont take u to an italian place, there's a good chance that there is something u can eat"
(experience not having taught you different, can i really blame you?)
2 "well come and play pool then, or just hang about. we can go fofr a walk, the trees are lovely down there"
(cause it's not like everyone else is there for a meal)
3 "you can eat at the waterside, right? it's got a menu thing"
(well that just guarantees a three course for me...)
